WO structure context menu

The work order structure and icons are described in Work order structure.

Right-click menu

Right-click on a work order to get the Beas context menu options with the following tabs:

1.	Context-sensitive basic functions

2.	Context-sensitive extended functions

3.	Context-sensitive expand functions

4.	General functions

5.	Export functions

General, export and template functions are generic in Beas and are described in Right-click menu.

Work order are displayed with black text. The represent the highest level in the work order structure. Right-click on a work order line to see the available context menu options.

Function

Description

Error check

This option only displayed, if an error occurred during editing the work order, for example, a DI-API-error at the order time receipt.

As long as this icon is visible, the work order is not hidden, even if it has already been completed.

The errors must be checked. There could be missing or incorrect bookings or journal entries, which need to be corrected.

If all errors were marked as read, the icon and the menu option disappears. In the right-click menu, extended functions you can still view the protocol.

Work order edit

Edit the work order.

Create order

Create a new order.

Work order delete

Delete the order. Can only be used if no report has been received on the work order up to this point.

New assembly xx/xx

Insert a copied assembly to this work order. The assembly is inserted with the original quantity directly in the work order.

Sales Order no. X

If there is a link to a sales order, it can be opened directly.

APS Gantt view

Open the Gantt view of the selected work order.

Material issue

Open the reservation / issue window.

Reservation

Open the reservation window.

Material requirement

Open the material requirements list.

Allocation

Open allocation list.

WO Stock transfer request

only if activated in WO structure view - Window settings - Inventory transfer request

Open the transfer request window

Complaint create

This option is only available if

a) a receipt on a work order position is available

b) a receipt was canceled

Create purchase order

only available, if current row is a external routing position. More see external Production

Link serial number

Open the screen to link material batches/serial numbers to manufacturing items.

Search for structure

Does not only search on the item level, but also for parts of a bill of material or child bill of materials. If the search term is found, the structure is opened at the appropriate location and the cursor is placed at that point. Only a certain fields, such as item number, drawing number and match code can be searched.

Pooling

The Pooling window is opened, to recalculate the pool.

This function is only visible, if Capacity planning is activated.

Simulate backwards

Backwards dispatch

Dispatch forward

Catch up

Only visible if Capacity planning is activated and an APS license is available on this station.

All stored calculation types are displayed.

If a calculation type is chosen, all selected work orders are recalculated. This calculation type is saved in the work order. When the work order is changed, this calculation type is used again for automatic rescheduling.

Error – Protocol

All protocol entries and error messages for the work order are displayed here.

Refresh

Selected work orders are refreshed. See Work order item - Function Refresh. This function is only visible if at least one item is selected (Ctrl or Shift + Click).

Formulas new calculate

Re-calculate all stored formulas for the selected work orders. See Work order item - Function re-calculate formulas. Function is only visible with at least one item marked (Crtl or Shift + click)

Selected positions:close

Close selected items / work orders.

Error – Protocol

Open error log for this work order. This function may be needed if all errors have been cleared, but a subsequent check is required.

Status error delete

Delete error status. Can be used if the log was removed or the error status was set without reason and could not be cleared. Only visible when the error status is active.

Assembly

Expand the assembly only.

In the Configuration wizard you can define the maximum number of positions to be displayed per work order.

Assembly, BOM and routing

Expand the assembly, BOM and routing.

Complete

Note: Complete expansions of a structure can take long. It is recommended to select the assembly and use complete expansion only for this one assembly. As an alternative, you could use structure search or the simple structure display in Work orders - Assemblies instead.
