| without cleaning, maintenance and other plannable downtimes. Total net capacity is (planned capacity in hours/day) * (number mashines / persons) * ( %-value as per factory calendar)   Planned capacity can be influenced by - Priorities - Shift schedule of the resource - Shift schedule of the resource group - Shift calendar   Planned capacity cannot exceed 24 hrs/day. If in shift schedule for resources or resource calendar a start / end time is defined, the planned capacity is at most the period between start and end time. Example: Start 8:00, End 14:00 Maximum time for scheduling: 6 hours.

|
|     The calculated Start is at 12 o´clock - (planned capacity in hours : 2) The calculated End is 12 o´clock + (planned capacity in hours : 2)
Backward scheduling considers only the end date Forward scheduling considers only the start date     Example:
 A Resource has a daily capacity of 8 hours.Shift Start = 12 - 4 = 8 o'clock
 Shift End = 12 + 4 = 16 o'clock
So the calculated end is the shift end of the resource at backwards scheduling, which is 16 o'clock in this example instead of 17 o'clock.   Note: If a start / end date is defined in the Shift definition, these have a higher priority, but do not affect planned capacity. | |   Note for available planned capacity for an operation: The max. number of hours between start- and calculated end are available for an operation. e.g. 15 hours day, shift start = 8 o'clock, shift end = 16 o'clock Means, max. 8 hours are available Exception: Amount of the machines / persons is higher than 0 and defined in the operation, so that all resources can be accessed.   Note: View Production structure – Time unit automatically. The setting affects the definition of the unit value "Days"
| External operation times are often entered per day. To do so, the planned capacity and the number machines / persons should receive the value 1.  1 equals 24hours in this case.
