Parallel resources are separately planned resources, that have the same start and end time that the main resource has (operation).
Parallel resources can only have only one set of costs defined (for example, no separate staff costs and no extended costs).
Parallel resources always have the same start and end times, but can be used for more than 100% (time reservation %).
Parallel resources are calculated separately and must be reported separately.
Alternative parallel resources can also be defined. The appropriate parallel resource can be selected in manual scheduling or automatic optimization.
If capacity planning is enabled in the parallel resource, then the operation for a forward reservation can be only be scheduled, when both the main resource and the parallel resource are available.
Beas supports the following types of parallel resources:
• | Tools with same start and end date |
• | Parallel resources with same start and end date and with any degree of utilization |
• | Alternative parallel resources |
