Overview on user types

Description

SAP Business One - User

Logon to Beas via SAP Business One - user. Every user needs a SAP Business One - license.

Beas user

Beas users can logon directly in Beas but not in SAP Business One. These users may not use SAP Business One -functions, also no data functions of the DI-API, because otherwise they would violate license conditions. This user is only to work with functions outside any SAP Business One functionality, as Attendance, Business Performance, Calculation. See Beas Users

Personnel

Personnel has access to the Terminal. If the DI-API is required for various functions, the SAP Business One - user according to Configuration wizard > System is used (Regard  SAP Business One - license rules!)

Some functions only work using the Personnel ID, therefore the SAP Business One - user needs to be set up as personnel, too.
See Edit personnel master data.

SAP Business One – User

User administration Administration > Definition > General > Users shows all SAP Business One-users. If a user is a "Superuser", he also has administrative rights in Beas.

If the user does not need SAP Business One functionality and works only with Beas, he can be created in Beas as Beas user.

He does not need access rights in SAP Business One since all SAP Business One functionalities are then executed under the user stored in Administration > Definition > General > Users (Beas)

Right-click opens the menu of additional functions:

Show disabled messages

If the user selected "do not show anymore" for a warning message, this selection can be reset here

Beas – User

There you can store users, who can logon independent from a SAP Business One - license. Use this feature if you work with own program extensions, independent of SAP Business One.
