Design

The Design can define in SAP Business One – General settings  and in here in Configuration wizard

In Configuration wizard the definition is for the current client (Database). This defines the skin style for using Beas  outside SAP Business One.

If you want to change the SAP Skin style, you can define this in in General settings - Display - Skinstyle

Beas inside SAP Business One

Beas will always use the Skinstyle which was defined in SAP Business One General settings.

All Skin styles are supported (SAP 10.0, Beas 2020.03)

Beas outside SAP Business One

In the Configuration wizard you can choose one of all available skin styles of MSSQL and HANA Version.

The following skin styles are available:

Style

Example beas Standalone

Conventional

styleclassic

SAP Signature

stylesignature

Golden Thread

Operation_catalog_SAPStyle

Fiori

stylefiori

Belize Deep

stylebelizedeep

Note:

Outside SAP Business One Beas cannot use the framework of  SAP Business One. The Fiori Dashboard and B1UP Dashboard are not available.

Beas only uses the color schema.
Icons are not the same as in SAP Business One

Beas uses its own User interface and not SAP Business One components

Button Style

- Old System (Deprecated): select this to return to the old Beas button layout.

- SAP Style: (default) Beas forms gain layout with SAP design of button names.

Note:

If you there are a lot of customizations in your system, and you changed functionality with script command

windowevent click b1
end event

then not every customization will run with the SAP style. In this situation you can switch to the new style:

(setting: buttonstyle 0=old, 1=SAP Style)

Menu in SAP B1

Menu beas standalone

Selectable menu structure:

beas2009

All Beas functions under the upper menu level Beas are summed up and separated from all SAP Business One functions. This menu can be extended via an AddOn or via an "customer-specific extensions". See: AddOns

Standard

Integrated menu; all Beas functions are sorted under the upper menu level of SAP Business One.

Expert

The most important functions (selectable) are on the top level between the upper menu level of SAP Business One.

From beas 9.2 PL: 02 extended settings are possible

This setting can be used separately,

if Beas is started integrated in SAP B1 (Menu in SAP B1) and
if Beas is started without SAP B1 (Menu as beas standalone).

The function "initmenu" can be stored in the file "beasmenu" to overwrite the setting.

You can set the following variables:

e_menu = define the menu 0=beas 2009, 1=standard, 2=Experte

e_completeload = 2=load all, 1 = load all with access, 0=load only licensed entries

Example:

for user "manager" use beas2009-Menu

function initmenu
if <currentuser> = manager then
   setvar=e_menu=0
end if
end function

Load menu completely

The following settings are available:

No = Only licensed menu entries and user-authorized menu entries are displayed.
Advantage: Faster start process and better overview.
Disadvantage: After a change in authorizations or licenses a restart of the program is necessary.

Yes (License) = All entries the user is authorized for are displayed. Menu entries the user has no license for are also  displayed. Only menu entries for which the user has no authorization are hidden.

Yes (Completely) = All menu entries are displayed.
Advantage: At initial configuration it  is useful to test access rights, because no restart of the program is  necessary after changing license or authorization.

This setting can also be changed via custom specific adjustment.
See "Menu beas standalone"

Time format

24 or 12 hours (am/pm).

Date format

Choose between different formats (dd/mm/yy ; dd;Month/yyyy) etc.

Date separator

Select the separator (default: / ).

Times – decimal places

The number of decimal places in times (e.g. 3.34 hrs.) cannot be configured in SAP. The setting is not available here for this reason. It is not necessary to restart beas if any changes are made.
