Resources are productive assets that Beas uses as the smallest capacity unit. Machine hour rates for calculation, as well as the planned capacity, transition and vacation time for capacity planning are stored in resources. Resources can be subdivided into resource groups. A resource group can be a number of individual machines that can be used alternatively, or a collection of machines belonging to a production unit. A resource does not have to be assigned to a resource group. For Beas there is no difference between work stations, employees, machines or buildings. These are all resources to be assigned to the operation sequences.
Resources can be: •Work stations •Employees, Groups •Tools •Machines •Buildings •External operations •Resource groups
