Database compatibility

All MSSQL and HANA Versions are supported, which are supported by current Versions of SAP Business One

MSSQL 2008 and older: Not supported.

MSSQL 2017: with Beas 9.3 PL 0 Build 31, Beas 9.3 PL 1 and higher.
MSSQL 2019: with Beas 2020.08 (Note: you need SAP 10.2 or later)

MSSQL 2022: with Beas 2025.02 (Note: you need SAP 10 FP 2405 or later)

 

Connection to the database is possible with different database drivers.

The selection of the driver is done automatically and needs no manual change by the user.

Windows OS

By server and client, all Windows versions are supported which are supported by SAP Business One.

Windows 7 is out of maintenance and not supported.

64 Bit

The 64 Bit version of Beas Manufacturing is delivered with 2020.03.

SAP Business One WEB ACCESS

SAP will Stop to deliver this functionality.

SAP 10.0 WEB Client

Q: Do the Beas support the new Web Client?

 

A: No, SAP's new Web Client is written in an entirely different technology and is therefore not able to run any of our add-on products (in fact, no SAP add-ons can be extended to the Web Client).

 

Q: Does this mean that if my customer uses the Web Client that they can't use your add-on products at all?

A: The Web Client is just another client for SAP Business One (similar to SAP Business One iPad App) and can run side-by-side with the regular desktop client, displaying the same data. So it is only those front-line workers running the Web Client that cannot use our products.

 

Q: When do you plan to support the Web Client?

A: It is unknown when and if SAP will release an SDK for the Web Client, so we do not yet know when this will be possible. We are working closely with SAP and once information becomes available we will let you know.

SAP hosted Cloud

Q: Have you guys written poor code since you can't run on SAP Cloud?

A: No. In fact, all of Boyum's products are successfully running in the Cloud, with various 3rd-party hosting providers. SAP has set certain restrictions on what they will allow on their platform for maintainability reasons. SAP and Boyum IT are working together toward the goal of having all Boyum IT solutions eventually run on the SAP-hosted Cloud.

 

Q: Why have SAP set such high restrictions?

A: SAP is striving for a high level of automation and standardization, which will ultimately ensure that the SAP-hosted Cloud is affordable, reliable, and meets the highest standards for security.

 

Q: Will Beas be available for SAP hosted cloud

A: We strive to keep Beas compatible with all previous installations. As a result, we are unable to comply with the restrictions of the SAP hosted cloud. However, we will provide alternative hosted cloud solutions.

The SAP Business one inventory is overridden by Beas inventory, because offers and extended functionality.

Human resources

Personnel administration with SAP Business One 7 was synchronized with Beas personnel administration.

Key fields

In key fields (item code, card code and so on) not all characters allowed. See key fields.

Cancellation of sales documents

SAP Business One introduced the feature "cancellation" for sales documents. It is important to always enter positive quantities (field "quantity") even if the actual quantity is negative. Customized extensions need adaptation. Various sales reports delivered until version Beas 2009 need to be reviewed as they are no longer supported.

Relationship MAP

Not supported.

Alternative keyboard usage

No support of General Settings – Display – Alternative Keyboard settings.

Accounting Enhancements According to IRFS

Not supported.

Reopen purchase order

No support in the area "External process".

UoM Groups

UoM Price List

Beas does not support UoM Price List in precalculation.
Plan is to integrate this functionality in next versions.

IT VAT

Note 2775566 IT Localization. Tax Summary – VAT Date

You need Beas 9.3 PL 2 Hotfix 2 or higher if you intend to use this SAP Version in Italy.

PTICode

Argentina PTICode not supported, but it is possible to insert support by customization. See BeasScript Customization by window.

SAP period end closing

Manufacturing transaction documents (WO issue and receipts) ignore SAP period end closing.
