The following types of stocktaking are available:
Use annual inventory count to register all stock on a given date. System stock is compared to counted stock, differences are corrected automatically. Only differences are registered.
Process Start stocktaking, save system stock Optional: create counting lists Register counting lists, see counting list, single registration, WEB-Application. NOTE: only registered entries are corrected and posted. Close stocktaking
Note: Only the difference is posted between stock and counting list to the moment of stocktaking. In this period there may be no goods movements.
Example: Stocktaking started 20.12. for warehouses 01 and 02 Counting lists are printed. Goods are counted in warehouse 01. Counting completed. From now it is allowed to post goods to warehouse 01. The differences are posted once counting in warehouse 02 has finished and all values have been registered.

Use this feature to get recommendations for stocktaking and start a counting for the selected items. - Define inventory cycles. See SAP Business One > Inventory cycle > Definition.
The process of the Cycle Count Recommendations function is the same as for annual inventory count.

Use Inventory Opening Balance function to import or register stock for the first time.

Beas-stocktaking function replaces the original SAP Business One function. We recommend to use the Beas function because all rules of the Beas-logic (e.g. reservation feature) are taken into account. Nevertheless, it is possible to use the original SAP Business One function. To do so go to Configuration wizard > Materials management > Warehouse management > Use original SBO inventory
However, this is not recommended as several problems could occur when using the SAP Business One inventory:
