Note: Only BOM issue is aborted. All previous postings cannot be undone.

The following message appears:

"Aborted only the debiting of the BoM. All previous booking process cannot be undone!"

This message occurs in case of multiple transactions (for example, goods receipt, issue, etc.) are carried out in succession and one of these is aborted.

Possible reasons for cancellation:

- Cancel button pressed

- Error message (not enough inventory, blocked number range, no authorization, etc.)

Why the process is irreversible:

Example:

External production (last operation) - Goods receipt with provision parts and automatic posting

In this case, the following actions take place:

Goods receipt in SAP Business One

Material issue from external warehouse

Material issue from own warehouse

Post-calculation

Post in assembly

Each operation must be completed and the transaction will be closed to prevent subsequent manipulations( for example, determining which batches to be selected). If a transaction is completed, it can not be undone because  journal entries have been made. Journal entries may not be deleted.

If a transaction would not be closed, the database needs to would be locked (open transaction). A consequence would be the  company-wide blockage of the complete program.

Measures

In certain cases, the document (e.g. production document) is marked as faulty. Details are shown in the log. In other cases, a message is generated (e.g. material not completely posted)
