This section of the Advanced Production tab includes Beas fields associated with Batches.

Field

Description

Batch determination

Beas  can generate the batch automatically for a receipt transaction. Here you can set up whether the batch is entered manually or generated automatically when posing in material.

If this option is selected, Beas creates the batch of the finished product with the same number as the batch of the last consumed material.

Example:

Example 1

Assembly: "Paste y in container x"

Bill of Materials: Paste y line 10

         1. issue: batch aaa

         2. issue: batch bbb

If "Paste y in container x" is now produced and posted in, the batch number of "Paste y" of the last posting, that is batch "bbb" is assigned.

 

Example 2

Assembly: "Paste y in container x"

Bill of Materials:

Line 10, Material A001 (Batch-related)
Line 20, Material A002 (Batch-related)

 

Last Issue Line 20, A002, Batch aaa

The System uses "aaa" as Batchnumber

 

Example 3

Last Issue Line 10 - A001, Batch aa1 and Line 20 – A002, Batch aa2

The System uses "aa1", because it is the first position

 

Temporary sorting issue:

At present the system is using the "BEAS_FTSTL"."POS_ID" as sorting, not the correct Sorting field "SortId".

If you change the order inside the BoM, the program may not work properly. We are planning to fix this in Beas 9.3 PL 2 HF 1

Batches are generated automatically. Beas creates a batch number for the item based on the parameter in the Configuration wizard.

If activated, manual batch input is always performed for this item.

Attention: Manual input is not supported at receipt creation by WEB Service.

 

Selection:

Manually – (oitm.u_batchroh=M or NULL) = Default

Automatic – (oitm.u_batchroh=N)

Batch according to material (only batches) – (oitm.u_batchroh=J)

Shelf life in days

hmtoggle_plus1 Defines the number of calendar days that are added to the items production date for calculating its expiration date.

If a receipt is performed via Production or a Quality Control, release is performed, the shelf life date is reset from release.

 

If the Manufacturing date is blank, the current date is used for calculation.

 

If a manufacturing date is entered in the any receipt window, the date of expiry is calculated automatically (calendar days of shelf life are added to manufacturing date).

Calculation process:

1. Click on the calculator icon right of the field to open a calculator pop-up window.
2. Calculate the days, then click Copy to Field button and the result is copied in the field.
3. Click Close to close the calculator pop-up window.
