With the Available-to-Promise, the expected delivery date can be determined based on forward resource-scheduling and consideration of existing resource reservations. This function is for all companies without APS License.
What does Available-to-Promise System (ATP System) mean?
You can access ATP in SAP Business One if you do not own an APS License by opening a Sales Order/Sales Quotation > right-click on an assembly line:
The information in the right window section is grouped by Days/Weeks based on the calculated value of the "Days Production" field in the process flow bar in the top section. Days Production: Displays the number of days necessary to complete production of an item.
"Days production" < 15: The information is grouped by days. "Days production" > 15 * 7: The information is grouped by Months. "Days production" > 15 AND < 15*7: The information is grouped by Weeks. Window atp_view.psr
For further details on differences between Capable-to-promise (CTP) and Available-to-Promise (ATP) functions, see CTP vs. ATP in previous chapter. For Configuration See Configuration Wizard > Sales
The Beas ATP: - Creates a forward calculation for the assembly. - Displays the possible delivery date.
What you need for using CTP: No APS License
Before you start: •ATP can deliver correct information only if all data are correct. •Define a default MRP (see Configuration wizard) and calculate this every day. •Calculate work orders every day and use forward calculation. See APS. If resource reservations are in the past, the result cannot be correct.
For more information on the complete process see CTP. |
