This section of the Advanced Production tab includes Beas fields associated with Serials.

Only visible for serial number related items.

Field

Description

Serial number

Serial number is generated automatically at Goods receipt and Production > Post in assembly and in other functions.

 

This is necessary, if working with automatic serial number reservation.

For automatic generation the generation template needs to be defined in Configuration wizard

Serial numbers are defined manually.

Automatic serial number reservation is not possible.

Default: manually (oitm.u_batchroh='M' or NULL)

Batch generation

 

Shelf Life in Days

Defines the amount of days that are added to the items production date for calculating its expiration date.

If a receipt is performed via Production or a quality control release is performed, the shelf life date is reset from release. Counted from production date, if empty then from today.

If a manufacturing date is entered in the goods receipt window, the date of expiry is calculated automatically. (calendar days of shelf life are added to manufacturing date).
