Beas supports Crystal reports documents, but does not use Crystal report functions of SAP Business One. The Crystal-Report-Engine Version XI is used, which is provided together with the server installation. See Report settings, Macros, Configuration wizard – Reports Output Beas puts out the documents as PDF via the installed PDF viewer or a via Beas integrated viewer. This is changeable in the Configuration Wizard.
Connection to the current database The Beas viewer connects the SQL command which is stored in the document with the current database. All select instructions are be adjusted automatically. If you do not want your commands to be adjusted, execute them as a procedure-object or a SQL-function. This object has to start with the name "command" e.g. "command_mysql". Include in the SQL instruction: •The name of the server and the database •Name of procedure or function, or the report in the network environment with the database where it is executed. Special characters must not be used in a SQL server name. The database must be connected in the Crystal documents via ODBC.
To use reports developed for MS-SQL in the HANA environment, make sure that the correct database connection is used in the report. Also see Crystal reports errors and solutions.
Translations Beas translates the report automatically. Text-Object names have to end with "_t", e.g. "itemcode_t".
Notes Crystal functions, which have been added after Crystal version 11, are not supported, e.g. 3D barcodes or QR-Barcodes. The crystal viewer is a component of the server-installation (only MSSQL) and will be installed only separately.
