Database compatibility

All MSSQL and HANA Versions are supported, which are supported by current Versions from SAP Business One

MSSQL 2008 and older: Not supported.

MSSQL 2017: with Beas 9.3 PL 0 Build 31, Beas 9.3 PL 1 and higher.
MSSQL 2019: with Beas 2020.08 (Note: you need SAP 10.2 or later)

Windows OS

By server and client, all Windows versions are supported which are supported by SAP Business One.

Windows 7 is out of maintenance and not supported.

64 Bit

The 64 Bit version of Beas Manufacturing is delivered with 2020.03.

SAP Business One WEB ACCESS

SAP will Stop to deliver this functionality.

SAP 10.0 WEB Client

Q: Do the Beas support the new Web Client?

A: No, SAP's new Web Client is written in an entirely different technology and is therefore not able to run any of our add-on products (in fact, no SAP add-ons can be extended to the Web Client).

Q: Does this mean that if my customer uses the Web Client that they can't use your add-on products at all?

A: The Web Client is just another client for SAP Business One (similar to SAP Business One iPad App) and can run side-by-side with the regular desktop client, displaying the same data. So it is only those front-line workers running the Web Client that cannot use our products.

Q: When do you plan to support the Web Client?

A: It is unknown when and if SAP will release an SDK for the Web Client, so we do not yet know when this will be possible. We are working closely with SAP and once information becomes available we will let you know.

SAP hosted Cloud

Q: Have you guys written poor code since you can't run on SAP Cloud?

A: No. In fact, all of Boyum's products are successfully running in the Cloud, with various 3rd-party hosting providers. SAP has set certain restrictions on what they will allow on their platform for maintainability reasons. SAP and Boyum IT are working together toward the goal of having all Boyum IT solutions eventually run on the SAP-hosted Cloud.

Q: Why have SAP set such high restrictions?

A: SAP is striving for a high level of automation and standardization, which will ultimately ensure that the SAP-hosted Cloud is affordable, reliable, and meets the highest standards for security.

Q: Will Beas be available for SAP hosted cloud

A: We strive to keep Beas compatible with all previous installations. As a result, we are unable to comply with the restrictions of the SAP hosted cloud. However, we will provide alternative hosted cloud solutions.

Planned Supported SAP Versions from 2021

Unsupported Version

A Beas - version is always compatible with a SAP Business One version (see Compatibility of Beas with SAP Business One). If SAP terminates the support of a SAP Business One - version, the Beas - version receives the status "unsupported Version". At that point, the claim of free support expires.

SAP Business One 7.0	Human resources	Personnel administration with SAP Business One 7 has been synchronized with Beas personnel administration.
SAP Business One 7.0	Crystal reports	Beas 9.2 PL 5 and older: Beas uses Crystal 11 viewer, which is installed automatically. If a Crystal document is printed with Beas, only Crystal 11 functions are supported. Beas 9.3 PL 0: Beas supports actual Crystal report version.
SAP Business One 8.82	Bin location management	Beas 9.3 PL 2 supported
SAP 9.0	Purchase request	Beas 9.3 PL 2 supported
SAP 9.0	Cancellation of sales documents	SAP Business One introduced the feature "cancellation" for sales documents. It is important to always enter positive quantities (field "quantity") even if the actual quantity is negative. Customized extensions need adaptation. Various sales reports delivered until version Beas 2009 need to be reviewed as they are no longer supported.

SAP 9.2	Alternative keyboard usage	No support of General Settings – Display – Alternative Keyboard settings.
SAP 9.2	Accounting Enhancements According to IRFS	Not supported.

SAP 9.2	UoM Groups UoM Price List	Beas does not support UoM Price List in precalculation. Plan is to integrate this functionality in next versions.
SAP 9.3 PL 10	IT VAT	Note 2775566 IT Localization. Tax Summary – VAT Date You need Beas 9.3 PL 2 Hotfix 2 or higher if you intend to use this SAP Version in Italy.
