Beas for SAP Business One  was created in 2001. At this time UDT's did not exist in SAP Business One.

We always strive to deliver a Beas version that is compatible with older versions because our partners invest a lot of time in Reports and Customization.

This is the reason why Beas does not use UDT's and why this cannot be changed.

On Beas tables it is not possible to create UDF's, because Beas does not use the SAP Business One UDT-System.

For more information see beas Addon settings

If you need your own fields on SAP Business One – Tables or if you want to create new tables: Use the SAP Business One UDT/UDF System.

You can create User-defined fields in 2 ways:

1. Use SAP Standard tools to create the UDF manually.

Upon creating the UDF, you can define all properties and must proceed similarly in every database.

2. Use db.ini in project folder to create SAP UDF's. See Beas Addon settings.

Beas creates the UDF's automatically. Here it is not possible to define all UDF Properties.

Attention:

If you create your own tables or udf: The prefix "Beas" is not allowed.

Example:

u_beas_color -> wrong

u_mycompany_color -> correct
