Basic text editing options to manage selected text.

Find...

Enter a word and set various options to find it:

Function	Description
Find what	Enter a word/part of word to find in the text.
Search	Select the section of text to search in: - All: Search the whole text. - up: Search text above current cursor position. - down: Search text under current cursor position.
Match Case	Find words/parts of words  according to the exact  lower-uppercase format of your word. Example: 1. If you enter "SYSTEM", the search function will ignore "system" or "System". 2. If you enter "SY", the search function will ignore "sy" or "Sy".
Find whole words only	Activate radio box to show hits only for whole words.

Find Next/Previous

Select these options to move up or down in the text among the search hits of the "Find..." function.

Replace...

Replace a word/words or all words with the function opening in a separate window.

Properties

This menu entry opens a control center in a separate window with three tabs:

General tab

Field descriptions Field Meaning Header/Footer Activate header or footer. Display Only Activate this option to prevent further editing of the input fields and text. PopUp Menu If you enable the pop-up menu property, users can customize the appearance of the RichTextEdit control. From the pop-up menu, users can: •Perform editing tasks (cut, copy, paste, and clear) •Insert a file into the RichTextEdit control •Display and modify the Rich Text Object dialog box Pictures As Frame Insert images in the text as frames. Word Wrap Affects newly entered text only. If the user enters new text in an existing paragraph, word wrap is triggered when the text reaches the right edge of the control. To get existing text to wrap within the display, the user can tweak the size of the control (if it is resizable). RichText Bars Activate Tool, Status or Ruler to be displayed in the editor. RichText Presentation Set the following properties visible by activating them: - Input Field Names Visible - Input Fields Visible - ControlChars Visible Background Color Colors for the whole background and the background of input fields. Unit of Measure Select between 1/1000 inch or 1/1000cm.
