In this area you can define alternative help system if you cannot use the standard online help.

Help system

Context related help is always available: call up by pressing F1.

Select here:

 

Online help:

WEB-files, which are accessed from Beas-Server or any local server.
If you want to use a local server, you must define the Address in "URL for English help"

 

Local help files:

Execute the beas_help.exe from the folder, which you can define in "Directory help files" setting.

Download Beas Help (Offline Version)

Copy this in a folder (outside the download folder)

Define the folder in "Directory help files"
 

NOTE: If you click F1, the system opens the help, but does not jump to correct chapter.

Directory help files

Directory in which the help file is stored. Copy beas_help.exe to this directory. Leaving blank, Beas uses the default setting: c:\program files\beas software\beas

URL for English help

URL for English version of help.

1. Ask our support for a current version of the English help in a zip file.

2. You can expand this zip file on a local folder or network folder. In case you need the search function, the server has to be a PHP HTTP Server.

3. Insert the correct folder or IP Address in the Configuration wizard (see image below).

Config_Wiz_OFFLINE_help

If file based: Insert folder name in URI style / Linux format.

 
Example:

c:\docu WRONG

c:/docu CORRECT

 

4. You can test this directly by pressing F1.
