A production backward scheduling function is available in Beas. This function is executed automatically, unless it is disabled in the production order or in the Configuration Wizard.

The latest possible start date is calculated not taking existing work orders into consideration. This also applies to routing level, where the dates provided are always based on latest possible date. If overlaps exist, they are taken into account.

Planning date is not calculated. In terms of lead time calculation, backward scheduling results are correct. For this reason, the specified times serve only as guidelines and may not be used for planning. If a planning is required, APS must be used. A calculation of correct times is possible only by forward scheduling.

If the calculation of the latest possible start date with correct times to start and finish is required, a combined forward and backward scheduling is possible using the APS.

APS takes into account time and material reservations. APS does not provide a graphical display, but a quick and simple calculation of the start and finish times of the work sequences and in turn to determine the material requirement date.
