Decimals: separator character behavior

Introduction > Beas user interface > Window control > Decimals: separator character behavior

Top  Previous  Next

Beas displays all numeric fields with the decimal separator defined in the Windows regional settings of the actual system.

Therefore, the SAP decimal separator is ignored.

The "Decimal Separator Key" defined on the NumPad of the computer keyboard also applies the Windows regional settings. For this logic, the system also reads the Keyboard definition of the user.

Generally, Beas uses the decimal separator similar to MS Excel: Windows settings in combination with the Keyboard of the user.

IMPORTANT: When connecting to remote systems, Windows may read the regional settings of the local machine, and therefore, the information input of the remote machine is then displayed based on the local machine's windows settings.
