These are the configuration settings for item creation inside the Product Configurator.

Parameters

Name

Description

Item creation

If active, new items can be created from a configuration.

Create items with the same configuration

At new creation, the system checks whether to create a new item for the sub-assembly.

Always for order-related items (Default)

If there is an item with the same configuration, the new item will still be created if its scheduling ID was set to "order-related" or "phantom assembly"

 

Automatically

Independent of the scheduling ID, a new item is not created if an existing configuration was found in the system. Instead, this item is used.

Entries in the configuration tab are checked:

If there was no entry stored, nothing is checked, and no item is created.

If parameters are stored, they will be checked.

Recognize double entries

If you save a configuration (Button Update in Product Configurator window), Beas can check if this configuration exists.

 

Available options:

 

Note: Only a note is issued.

Question: Question whether the existing configuration shall be loaded.

Automatically: The existing configuration is loaded automatically.

No: No recognition. A new configuration is always created.

 

Note: if a configuration is firmly assigned to a project, the system does not check whether the configuration exists already.

Apply inactive work sequence

Item Generation: If active, the system inserts a non-active Routing position. See Routing Position (beas 9.3 PL 2)
