Parameters

Name

Description

Time types: administrate times by

 

Up to three times can be specified. Each time type can have its own costs and its own lead time.

 

Available settings:

Lead time + capacity = Sum of all time types.

Costs = Sum of all time types.

 

Example:

Processing = 3 Min

Rework = 5 Min

Quality Control = 2 Min

 

Lead time = 10 Min

Costs = 10 Min *cost rate

Lead time + capacity = largest time.

Costs = Sum of all time types.

 

Example:

Processing = 3 Min

Rework = 5 Min

Quality Control = 2 Min

 

Lead time = 5 Min

Costs = 10 Min *cost rate

Costs = Sum of all time types.

Capacity + Resource time = Processing time.

 

The naming can be stored in the Configuration wizard. The processing time here is considered as the row "Type A"

For determination of secondary time, all time types need to be active.

Only main time (TH) can be entered.

 

The processing time is calculated:

 
TE = main time (TH) * personal allowance % from resource * recovery time % from resource

 

Secondary time (TN) is calculated:

 

TN = Processing time (TN) - main time (TH)

 

Costs = Sum of all time types

lead time and capacity  = Processing time (TE)

 

In every single process there are secondary times "TN". These proportions of times are required to enable a process sequence as a whole. Thus, all Handling-operations are considered as secondary times e.g. conditioning of the grinding-wheel, dressing tool change or preparation-operations etc.

 

The total time required for the operation process is called primary time (TH). This contains all the proportions of times that occur from process start to the end of the process.

 

The time types can be set in the Configuration wizard.

 

Primary time TH is stored in row with type "H"

Secondary time TN is stored in row with type "N"

Processing time TE is stored in row with type "A"

Cost per

In Resources > Master data costs can be defined which accrue during the usage of the resource. In Resources > Master data, you can define the costs incurred when using the resources.

 

Attention:

The information whether the costs per minute or hour are stored is not stored in the resource. Therefore, if this switch is changed, all stored costs correspond to the new setting.

 

Example: You have stored 1, You have stored 1,60€/Min. If you change the switcher to hour, the cost rate will be changed to 1,60€/Hour. Therefore, the cost rates will be recalculated after the change. You have deposited 1,60€/minute. If you  change this switcher to hour now, you get the cost rate of 1.60€/hour. You must, therefore, make certain that the cost rates are revised after the changeover.

 

Attention:

As soon as a work order has been created, this setting cannot be changed and will be hidden. Otherwise, the change would affect existing work orders which would cause the evaluation to be false. As soon as a production order has been generated, the switch conversion would also affect existing production orders – the valuation would, then, be incorrect.

 

If a subsequent change is required, it must be made as follows:

 

1. Finalize all running work orders.

2. Open debug window, Script tab.

For change per minute:

For change per hour:

3. Adjust cost rates in resources.

Do not use existing Precalculations and do not open work orders.

 

As soon as a work order has been created, this setting cannot be changed and it will be hidden.

 

Warning:

A change has an immediate effect on every calculation and valuation function. If cost rates were entered to resources, and the time unit is changed here, make sure to adapt costs to the new time unit. This is not executed automatically.

Minimum Transit Time

Defines the minimum transfer times between 2 resources.

The "Transit time" specification is entered in all existing resources.

No change log is created. Process cannot be undone.
